1. Are you an eligible homeowner?

 

REVIVE Homeownership Requirements:

  1. Do you live in Saginaw County?

2. Do you live in an eligible residence?

  • Owner-occupied 1-4 family properties (i.e., Single family house, duplex)

  • Condominiums

  • Townhouses

  • Manufactured Housing deeded as Real Estate (not having a title) and permanently affixed to a permanent foundation (i.e., not in a park where there is lot rent). Modular/ manufactured homeowners should supply tax records or an Affidavit of Affixture, or similar document, to validate the home meets this requirement.

3. Do you own the home? (with or without a mortgage)

NOTE: If you are renting, or buying the home on land contract, you are NOT eligible for the grant.

4. If you have a mortgage, are the payments current?

5. Are your property tax payments current?

6. Do all persons listed on the deed live in the home?

(Except for a relative listed for estate planning purposes)

7. Do you have homeowners insurance?

● If not, an explanation is required on the application (i.e., Unaffordable, Unable to obtain due to repairs needed, Not interested, Other)

NOTE: You are still eligible to apply for a grant even if you do NOT have homeowners insurance

8. Have you received FHLBI grant funds in the last 5 years? (during the years 2019-2024)

If so, you are NOT eligible.

9. Have you applied for FHLBI funds from another organization in 2025?

If so, you are NOT eligible.


If you answered “YES” to questions 1-6, and “NO” to questions 8-9, you have passed the Homeownership Requirements FOR REVIVE!

REVIVE HOMEOWNER DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

  • Provide Warranty or Quit Claim DEED

  • Anyone listed on the deed for estate planning purposes (i.e., they do not live with the homeowner) must provide evidence of their primary residence (driver’s license, utility bill, etc.)

  • Provide proof that Property Taxes are paid in full and there is no balance - Receipt of payment

  • If you have insurance, provide Homeowners Insurance Declaration Page for current policy period

  • If you have a mortgage, provide proof that Mortgage Payments are up to date – last 2 months of mortgage statements

  • Additional documentation may be requested
